We’re going cruising!

Um, not that kind of cruising.

We’ll be taking a queer contingent on a Boston Harbor Sunset Cruise, in partnership with Save the Harbor/Save the Bay.

Location & Schedule

The address of Rowes Wharf is  60 Rowes Wharf, Boston, MA 02110. This address is located behind the Boston Harbor Hotel. If you find the big archway with the big flag, walk through it towards the water and take a right onto the Harborwalk. We will be checking people in next to the Mass Bay Lines office to board the boat "The Freedom."

This is just a short walk from both South Station (Red/Silver Line) and Aquarium Station (Blue Line).

Please arrive at Rowes Wharf at 5:15 to check in for our 5:30 Boarding and prompt 6:00pm departure. The trip will be a 2 hour narrated harbor tour, and we will be back at the dock by 8pm.

Things to Bring

  • Water bottle

  • Jacket — as it is often a bit breezier on the water

  • Sun Protection (hats, sunglasses, etc)

About The Queer Neighborhood Council

LGBTQIA+ people deserve civic & community spaces where we can safely exist as our whole selves.

Showing up in front of neighbors & strangers in community and official public meetings can be uncomfortable, and it can be hard to fully engage.

That’s the problem TQNC set out to solve.

We focus on four pillars chosen by community feedback:

1) Policy Roundtables — Opportunities to engage directly with elected officials and policy experts

2) Housing & Policy Advocacy Group — Take action on urgency advocacy areas, including housing, transit/transportation, healthcare, and queer youth community centers

3) Community Arts — Providing opportunities to support and engage with local Boston-area queer artists and art venues

4) Socials — To build community and bring people from our other three pillars together, we host monthly gatherings in queer-forward spaces
